Spotlight Lost two places close home when very close third in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket (1m, good) in May; also finished third in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) next time; absent since but this drop back to 7f could be just what she needs; versatile ground-wise.

Spotlight Front-runner who kicked off campaign with Group 3 and Group 2 wins (1m, heavy/soft) and bounced back from a lesser 6f run to make all in the Group 1 Prix du Moulin here (1m, soft) four weeks ago; benefited from an excellent ride last time and is perhaps flattered by the bare form (beat star miler Charyn) but he's nevertheless entitled to considerable respect.

Spotlight Inconsistent and was below par when fifth behind Kinross at Doncaster three weeks ago; however, prior to that he bolted up in the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh (7f, good) to make it 5-7 and a case can be made if he can rediscover that form; has won on good to soft (unraced on softer).

Spotlight Won Group 3 John of Gaunt at Haydock (7f, good) in June and returned to form to land Group 2 Hungerford at Newbury (7f, good to firm) last time; seems fine on good to soft (unraced on soft/heavy); others have better form but his hold-up style provides hope that he may have more in the tank for trainer who won this with One Master for three years in a row between 2018-2020.

Spotlight Made all in very impressive fashion in Group 1 QEII at Ascot (1m, soft) last October; disappointing on first three runs this term but much more like it when back in these blinkers for third in Grade 1 Woodbine Mile (1m, firm) in Canada last month; could have a big part to play now he's back on song.

Spotlight Third in two 2yo Group 1s last season (6f, very soft/good to firm) and reappeared with good third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas (1m, good); however, two lesser performances followed and he needs to get back on track.

Spotlight Displayed improved form to win this at 28-1 last year (good to soft); hasn't hit the same heights this season but she shouldn't be written off.

Spotlight 3yo who was third in the Group 1 Lagardere over C&D (good to soft) 12 months ago and has been a creditable third in Group 1 and Group 3 races at Deauville (6f-7f, good to soft/very soft) on his last three starts; however, he's down the pecking order on form in this line-up.

Spotlight Not at her best when sixth in this last year and she's shown stronger form this season, winning the Group 3 Prix du Palais-Royal over C&D (soft) in May; has continued in good form and could be thereabouts.

Spotlight Won Group 2 against her own sex at the Curragh (1m, good) in May; fair fourth of seven in Group 1 Prix Rothschild at Deauville in July (1m, good to soft; unraced on softer) but others make greater appeal.

Spotlight Her form has gone to a new level this season and she posted a career best to win the Group 2 City Of York Stakes (7f, good to firm) last time; versatile ground-wise; however, needs another step forward in this hotter race.

Spotlight Made all in Group 2 at Newmarket (7f, soft) last October and gallant runner-up in Group 3 at Tipperary (7.5f, good) last month; the drop to 5f may have been against her last time but others have stronger claims.

Spotlight Ex-French mare who won the Group 3 Athasi Stakes at the Curragh (7f, soft) in May on her stable debut; good to firm/good ground has been against her in two runs since; goes without her usual hood and she'll need a stand-out career best if she's to pose a threat in this field.

Spotlight Fair fifth in this last year (good to soft) and he won a Group 3 over C&D (soft) this June; however, down the field in Group 1 contests at Deauville the last twice and is probably vulnerable once more.

Spotlight German Group 3 winner (6f, good to soft) last August and added a Listed win there (6f, good to soft) this June; however, this 8yo has limitations and they're likely to be exposed in today's Group 1 assignment.

Spotlight 3yo who was a Listed winner at Chantilly (1m, good to soft) in May and has run some respectable races since, but without showing enough to suggest she'll be a contender in this Group 1; a hood goes on.

Spotlight 3yo who tackled 5f on eight of her first nine starts but was suited by the return to 6f when winning the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York (good to soft) in July; kept on well for fourth in Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville (6.5f, good to soft) in August and did likewise when fifth in Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock (6f, good), where also denied a clear run; it's possible today's step up to 7f will prompt a further surge of improvement.
